USB Raid & Disable wireless

Hello just got my WNR3500U.

I disabled wireless in setup menu and disabled ID... but I wonder is it really off? as in not transmitting RF energy? I see the antenna led is off.. but I wonder as it effects my placement of unit.. In other words if it still is transmitting I dont want it near my Head! Well in reality I dont want it near another netgear router... for another person in same building... who already has one...

Also I want to hook up an external USB raid drive.. I know I can hookup a USB drive but what of a USB raid drive like this

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=usb+raid&x=0&y=0

The raid control appears housed in USB drive case.. I may have to hook to computer to config and then hook to router?!

Thanks and Happy Computing to ya!

Vis.

Yes, it's off.

Yes, it's off.

If the drive enclosure does the RAID internally then it should work. Just ensure you get one that does it all in hardware, not one that comes with a driver disk to make it work.
