USB webcam support?

is it possible to get a firmware that will add support for  webcam?

This will be great for a security camera solution, especially considering that many security cams in the $100 range generally suck, for example, I have a foscam 8905, it has poor color quality, poor image quiality overall, poor framtrate, and no auto brightness/ contrast so you have to adjust the image very frequently on after 2-3 hours the image will either be completely white of lack

eg here in my foscam vs a $20 webcam: Day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_urr0Ya5j2Y

If there was a firmware that would allow for USB webcam support, users can make a IP cam that will work well but a fraction of the cost.

or better yet, use a camera like a logitech c910 1080p, find the best resolution that the router can handle at 30FPS (many 720p security cams will have a 200MHz CPU)

For the price of a high resolution security camera, you can generaly purchase a netbook and a HD webcam for less money.

Allowing a router to use a webcam will allow you to make a high end security camera for a fraction of the cost.

Most of webcam drivers are in

Most of webcam drivers are in /ext/ tomato modules, tell me your driver and I can prepare a version for your model. You welcome.

I currently have a few

I currently have a few logitech webcams but for a security cam use, I was actually planning on buying either a logitech c910 or any other webcam that does good low light (mainly because it offers good image quality and dynamic range even if the resolution has to be set low)

Is there a way to add drivers on a standard install? Not sure how many people are interested in doing this and i don't want you to go through a ton of work to make a firmware that very few people will use.

Currently I am ok with buying any webcam that has good low light.

I know this looks to be dead but has anyone been able to use a webcam via the router?
