WAN port speed of WNR3500L

Hello guys,

My ISP asked me to upgrade the service to 1Gb connection (I live in Hong Kong).

Does the WAN port of WNR3500L support gigabit connection?  This is not clearly mentioned on the offical website.

Thank you very much.

"Five 10/100/1000 (1 WAN and 4 LAN) Ethernet ports with auto-sensing technology"

So that must be a yes

But when you look at the review of the DIR-685 it doesn't score that well. I wonder if the results would be different for the WNR3500L with some of the OS firmwares...

Have a look at this topic:

Currently I'm using the stock firmware.
Planning to experiment with the Tomato firmware (Teddy Bear mod) and DD-WRT (Kong mod) this month....

I must admit I didn't even

I must admit I didn't even try the stock firmware - as soon as I had the WNR3500L connected I flashed to DD-WRT as I had some issues with wifi and IOS devices I tried the Tomato firmware (it worked better than dd-wrt but still not as stable as my Airport Extreme).

Anyways I think it'll be a while before I hit the roof as my bandwidth is "only" 60/60 Mbit/s

Based on the following

Based on the following statistics you're probably hitting the roof in Latvia / South Korea:
