wnr 3500l bricked after install Firmware Mega

Hello every body,

I have install succesfuly the ddwrt mini firmware 13297 (Special File for initial flashing).

then directly after, I have install the mega firmware 13309 and it said that the install was succesful but when I dit next, it never restart.

I did 30/30/30 reset. Nothing change.

I can not ping it any more.

do you think it is bricked?

Can I reinstall the firmware by the RS232 port? without using your usb-ttl cable?

 Thanks alot for your help

I would recommend the

I would recommend the debricking tutorial using the USB-TTL cable. I know it's an extra cost, but that little cable is great for debricking!

OK thanks, but you think it

Just now the orange power
light work and when I connect a rj45 on a port the light switch on.

When I put it back the
original firmware, can I put back the ddwrt (mini) then try again to put the big
one?

Is the big ddwrt is compatible
with it and have you the usb fonctionality in it?

thank for you help you dit great.

But before I try to ping it

>ping -t -w 2

router during the first second it answer but not after so I try to do this

Hello

Hello

I have received a new one
I want to put the DDWRT but I want to be sure of wich one.
first the version 13972 (mini and then the Big)?
because last time, the mini firmware works, but not the big on.
and where can I find a good one?

is there all the option on the big one (usb share, .....), like the original or more?

Thanks

First read the forumpost last

First read the forumpost last in my post. Use the "mini" first and then "big" if you need it.

hello nukie

hello nukie
I already use the ddwrt on a wrt54gl without any problem.

but here, or I did take the bad one, or I did wrong, but if you can give me the right firmware for my wnr3500l-100grs (before it was wnr3500l-100pes).
I don't know were I can find it, and if it is is version 2.
when I go to ddwrt database, I only find for wnr3500l the 13309.
but here there is other one
http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/other-downloads?path=others/eko/Brain...
or here http://www.myopenrouter.com/download/list?sort=date&cat=48
is it the same one?

can I install this one : dd-wrt.v24-13972_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-WNR3500L.chk
and after maybe active telnet in case of ;o)))
and next install dd-wrt.v24-13972_NEWD-2_K2.6_big.bin (this one was exactly the one I put and brick my router)
I think it is because I did not wait 5 minutes after the firmware was on, I did next nearly directly after he said install successful..

thanks for your help

First - i am not a guru :) I

First - i am not a guru :) I suggest posting at the dd-wrt forum if you have trouble. Your two links contains the same firmware. The one i posted here are only for the latest 3500L with 8mb flash. The older ones i don't know about. The firmware in the dd-wrt database are rather old - do not use it.

Thanks nukie

Thanks nukie

I will ask to ddwrt forum to see what they said.

it is because I do not want to open it ;o)))

I think I will try the one over here http://www.myopenrouter.com/download/list?sort=date&cat=48

firmware 13972 but it is written beta....

They are all called beta

They are all called beta except 13309 that is old - there are allot of changes since that build. 13972 seems to be reliable. There is a newer build 14144 that i think that you should use. I'm currently using 13832 without any problems. I have not upgraded since its take some time to set it up after upgrading.
