WNR3500L V1 vs V2

After being very happy with my WNR2500L in my Australian office, I recently purchased another for my Philippines office. This second one happrened to be a WNR3500L v2, so I opened both up to see what the physical differences are.

If you are not sure which version of the WRN3500 you have, check the FCC ID number on the rear of the case and compare it to the above.

Do you happen to know if for

Do you happen to know if for the WNR3500L v2 /  BCM47186B0 switch chip if any VLAN Id can be used as I've read previously with DD-WRT the VLAN ID's shown are only 1-15 like the Dot1Q VLAN ID field is only 4 bits but the 802.1q standard permits 1-4092 with the exception of about 5 ID's for token-ring of Ethernet ID's.
