WNR3500l v2 Buffering and speed issues

Hi all,

I am running the Netgear WNR3500l V2 with DD-WRT v3.0 r27520M 7/17/15 kong, I have a few issues and questions.

1. I run a VPN so I can view UK tv services outside the UK. This works well when it works, but frequently the UK services are unavailable and I need to reboot the router to get the services running again.

2. Is the build I have the latest version?

3. Speed is very slow on the WLAN and having played with the WIFI settings forever, have settled on a fixed Tx of 15Mbps. Any ideas on best settings?

4. I tried with QOS settings and there seemed to be little difference to video buffering, any recommended settings?

5. When monitoring the bandwidth, the graph seems to spike constantly on WLAN and WAN, is this normal?

I want to keep using DD-WRT but if I need a better router I'll get one, any help greatly appreciated.
