Need help flashing either DD-WRT or Tomato on R7000p

Hi,

Netgear firmware is really bad on this and I am having constant wifi/wired dropouts no matter what I try (and have searched everywhere) and finally have decided to flash custom firmware.

Could someone provide a step-by-step guide on flashing either tomato or dd-wrt (I don't care which) for R7000p please? When I look online, they all give links to some chk files that no longer works so I am stuck and require an updated guide.. Please help.

Kind regards,

So heres what I think I will

So heres what I think I will do:

1. Downgrade to the lowest available R7000p netgear firmware 1.0.0.44 - https://kb.netgear.com/000036539/R7000P-Firmware-Version-1-0-0-44

2. Reset my router settings in the GUI

3. Install either this firmware in netgear gui (https://www.myopenrouter.com/download/r7000p-dd-wrt-kong-summer-firmware...) or this one (https://www.myopenrouter.com/download/dd-wrt-kong-mod-netgear-r7000p-201...)

4. done?

For step 3 - Which of the links shall i choose? Please help

Hi all,

Hi all,

I done it. Flashed the slayer build. Lets hope it fixes the "dropout" issues.
