VPN Goes Down - Help! Auto Restart Client?

Using Voxel's latest build does anyone have a step by step guide to install a script that can be setup to run every 5 min to check if the VPN client is in fact connected and if not restart automatically? I find that several times during the day the client goes down - not sure if it is disconnecting due to inactivity or if it is just going down for some other reason. Is there a setting in the client OVPN file that will persist the connection? Is there a CRON style script that can run on the router to check and restart the VPN client?
