Tomato by shibby for NETGEAR R6250, R6300v2, and R7000 Nighthawk 136-MultiWAN

Prolific and skilled developer shibby has released a new build of Tomato for several NETGEAR routers, including the R6250, R6300v2, and R7000 Nighthawk.

All of these builds require the user to flash an "initial" flash file before applying the latest upgrade. You will find links to each "initial" flash file in the download links below.

Shibby, I have installed the

Shibby, I have installed the initial build for my router - however after doing so, I can no-longer access the router to finish flashing up to AIO.  I cannot access the router whatsoever ater updating the initial flash.

I get assigned IP of 169.254.228.77 and cannot access the router by going to routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1

I'm just trying to figure out what to do from here

You have to set your own IP

You have to set your own IP from your PC in the same range

like 192.168.1.2 and subnet 255.255.255.0 Had that also the first time :) Then you can connect to it

or 192.168.1.1 and subnet 255.255.255.0

You can see the IP adrs from the router in your cable modem if it is not in bridge mode

Regards.

Shibby,

Shibby,

In regards to your latest AIO-136.

I am unable to revert back to Genie with your trx file. After clearing nvram and then uploading ofw trx it comes up with a webpage error and does nothing from there.

Have you seen this issue ? And if so is there a fix available ?

Cheers,
Sir Rufio

I am new to flashing and

I am new to flashing and flashed my R7000 to tomato but I have 1 problem.  While I can access the internet through my pc's wireless card, I cannot access it through my wired (ethernet) port.  I'm sure there must be a simple setting I have to change but I am not familiar with the firmware.  Can anyone suggest a fix?  Also, is there a good article or book that explains the various screens/settings in Tomato?

Thanks.

Henry

I get this as well. Please

I get this as well. Please provide updated instructions for flashing the initial .chk file. As of now, the file http://tomato.groov.pl/download/K26ARM/Netgear%20R-series%20initial%20fi... bricks the entire router. Please advise.

After upgrading to your latest version for the Netgear R6300V2 I can no longer log in to the router.  I get the popup window requesting name and password but the defauts admin:admin do not work.   I have done the 30-30-30 three times to reset the router but cant long in.   had also tried telnet and passwords dont work there either.  Any ideas?   other then not being able to log in it works as I get internet.

Thanks

Jess
