Wireless AC option not available on my R7000 with advanced tomato installed

Hi,

I cant select an option to choose AC wireless for the 5Ghz Wireless. Im running the latest advanced Tomato. I only have the option For Wireless A & N. Anyone had this issue?

Try to set your country on WiFi settings to SINGAPORE.

According to Netgear...

IMPORTANT

WPA-PSK [TKIP] may only operate at legacy rate, not N or AC rate.

NETGEAR recommends that you use WPA2-PSK [AES] to get full N or AC rate support.

 

I take this to mean if you use TKIP, you don't get full speed of AC (1300 in this case) and reverts to 600. This is an alert when choosing "WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]"  in the Netgear genie interface

I also face the same problem

I also face the same problem as the original poster. I am using WPA2/AES only. I try to set it to 80, but it reverts to 40. I am using 138 AIO

Ah ha... I figured my problem

Ah ha... I figured my problem out. Leaving the channels as Auto prevented it from going to 80. I selected one of the choices and now it's running at 80. I hope that helps you.
