Does anyone know if it's possible to run the 'Standard' edition of DD-WRT on the WGR614L router? There are some features that the micro and mini don't have that I need to use...

I have a WGR614v6 router. 

First, is it posible to upgrade to DD-WRT?

 

I would like to connect this router to an existing Wifi network (from my  neighbour) to obtain an ethernet connexion (for a skype phone).

Is it possible?

Hi all,

I have downloaded the tomato firmware from this site. WPA-PASK and WPA2-PSK is not working in this firmware. I have downloaded the code also like to debug this problem. Can anybody please inform me where to start with?

DD-WRT firmware issues

I have installed dd-wrt image released in this site. I followed the installtion guide and it works fine. Now it seems that, this dd-wrt image does not support upgrading firmware chk or trx format. When I tried to revert back to the netgear image from the dd-wrt, it shows invalid image... Did enyone else come across this problem ?

Hi all,

So I purchased a WGR614L from a local shop, and the Netgear part # that shipped was WGR614L-100NAS.  Everything seems to point to the unit I received as being a WGR614v9.  I've opened it up and it does only have 2MB of flash.

I guess I'm wondering what the hell I just paid the additional money for?  I can't seem to flash any of the images from this website onto the unit.. just the netgear stock 614v9 image can be programmed into it.

Did I get the wrong product?  What gives?

Hi all,

Just picked up a brand new WGR614L, opened the box, set it up minimally, and am just trying to update the firmware to no avail.

I've tried both the v1.1.2_1.0.23 firmware and the v1.11.041510 tomato firmware and simply get the following message after hitting the 'upload' button on the Router Upgrade page:

"Firmware upgrade failed.  Please check your file."

It's a WGR615V9 running V1.0.9_1.0.1NA.

Haven't got around to wiring up the console yet.  Any suggestions?  Known issues?

Recently, I've been struggling with uPnP on my home setup.  Currently, I have DD-WRT installed on my router, with uPnP enabled.

I am attempting to use Back to my Mac, a service provided by Apple in their .Mac service, which uses a complicated system of verification to communicate between computers with your .Mac login.  Apple states that it should work with routers that have uPnP enabled.  I have a MacBook and a Mac mini, both Intel.
