WOL wake on lan - can't get it to work for more than a day

hi all, this is my first post.

 

just installed latest version of Kong's fantastic firmware and am having problems getting WOL to wake my pc over the internet. using wake on lan magic packet tool. (I have already setup a DynDNS account to do this)

I have followed several guides, specifically this one http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/WOL of which none seem to wake my pc.

Hi,

I bought a R7000 last week, and immediately installed 23720, and its fantastic ... unbelievabley better than the OEM firmware (Ive never liked the netgear firmware)

However, Im experiencing a few issues:

- wifi disconnections

- dns lookup failures

I just picked up my R7000, and wanted to know if there were any glaring differences between the stock and DDWRT firmwares. My previous router was the WRT54GL, so it was a no brainer for me to put Tomato/DDWRT.

I was so exicited to flash that I forgot to make a backup of the Netgear stock firmware, I need to send it in to get replaced and wanted to put the stock firmware back in. Not sure on how to do this, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I recently had two roommates move in, we're currently using the R7000. I've been looking into configuring it, and the stock firmware seems.... lackluster, at best. They both are using two Xbox 360s while I play on PC.

Can a web usage page be introduced on to the Netgear R7000?

Got some questons.

The 30/30/30 reset is a pain for me since ive got the router on top of a tall bookcase in the livingroom (I imagine it gets the best wireless range this way). Im even afraid I'll push the damn pin too hard and break it (I've done that in the past).
